POKER RUNS AMERICA HALL OF FAMER- BOB BARNHART
If you looked in the dictionary for boater or poker runner, you'd find a picture of Bob Barnhart. If there is a poker run or a piece of water and some sun, you will find Bob. His Nor-tech goes with him wherever he goes. Summers are on the great lakes and winters are on the west coast of Florida. Because of the amount of boating Bob does, for his third 50 Nor-tech, the decision was made to go with triple Yanmar 480 diesels.
Bob has owned many boats, including a 22 ft Sea Ray Pachenga, a 35 Fountain Lightning, a 38 Cigarette Top Gun, a 41 ft Formula and this is his third 50 Nor-tech Supervee, named "Team Predator."
The boat is the perfect combination of function, with an incredible 400 mile+ range, speed, with a 75mph+ top speed and an incredible 70 mph cruise speed, and style. Bob picked all fabrics, helped in the paint design, and had custom, never before done features engineered into the boat. Passengers in the rear seats can follow along with navigation with a seatback Garmin GPS. The boat has Nor-tech's new Kevlar layup that pulls over 1000 lbs out of the boat. There is even a bow thruster. This stunning boat will be a fixture on the poker run scene in Canada and Florida and is sure to WOW as many people as it's "Predator" predecesors.

Bob McCoy's 43 Nor-tech Supervee "The Reel McCoy"

POKER RUNS AMERICA HALL OF FAMER- BOB MCCOY
To say that Bob McCoy is the "godfather of poker runs" is an understatement. For over twenty years, Bob has been a fixture on the circuit. He has owned more boats than you would believe, including several 39 Sutphens, a quad outboard Baja, centre consoles, and many many more. Bob's current arsenal includes a new 39 Sutphen with quad Mercury 250XS outboards, a 30 Sutphen with twin Mercury 300 X's and this 4300 Supervee, his biggest and fastest boat ever.
The "Reel McCoy," Bob's second Nor-tech was custom built by Nor-tech for Bob. It features his signature touches, including durable fabrics, non-slip floor in the cabin, durable carpet in the cockpit, red, white and gray styling, and a BIG windshield. It is quite an experienc to be able to stand up with a baseball cap on at 110 mph and not lose it. The boat is equipped with new Mercury 1075's with dry-sump number six drives and will run over 110 mph. Bob got 110 hours out of his first set and they were running perfect but opted to buy new rather than rebuild. Bob hauls his Nor-tech around on it's custom 5-th wheel Myco and you'll see it at a poker run near you!
This version of "the Reel McCoy" stays in Port Perry, Ontario with Bob and stays in Canada when Bob goes south in the winter. It runs waters all over Ontario, usually, of course, in poker runs.

Raymond Boudreaux's 53 Airborne "Lil' Blessing"
|

|

|
|
When a gentleman from Lake Charles, Louisiana asked us to do a complete re-do on his 53 Airborne cat, we knew it would be a big job. We were eager to take it on though. This was the third Airborne cat we’d rigged. One is the 53 called “Iceman” owned by Preston Parish in Michigan. The other was a 50 flat-deck for Ontario’s Davis Mighton.
Rigging a boat for Raymond Boudreaux is an altogether different job. The nicest guy you will ever meet, Mr. Boudreaux is all about the details. He wanted the biggest, baddest, coolest, hottest party/poker run boat there was. We did not want to disappoint.
When the boat arrived at our shop, it was more or less a blank hull.
The paint was done here by Jason Leslie and it turned out spectacular. So much so that Florida Powerboat Club gave Mr. Boudreaux the Best Paint and Graphics Award for this fall’s Key West Poker Run. Mr. Boudreaux was kind enough to give the award to us.
When we got the boat out of paint, the rig began. We recommended Mercury Racing’s 1075 SCi packages for the boat and Mr. Boudreaux took that option. Along with the Mercury power, the new interior we put in and the paint, here is the finished product.
So far, Raymond has done poker runs with his boat in Canada and Florida and will continue on to Lousiana, Texas, maybe Arizona and beyond.
